Pickled Red Onions- A Classic BBQ Side

Pickled Red Onion:

- 2 medium red onions

- ¾ cup red wine vinegar

- ½ cup sugar (Can use sugar replacement such as monk fruit to make more healthy)

- 1 TBSP Full Boar BBQ Garden, Barn, and River Rub

- Water

 

Instructions:

- Half the red onions and slice into relatively thin slivers and transfer them to a quart mason jar. Transfer all ingredients to the jar wet followed by dry. Fill the rest of the jar with warm to hot water. Place the lid on the Mason Jar and shake thoroughly until all ingredients are well mixed.

 - Let the jar stand on the counter until the hot water cools to room temperature. Place in the fridge overnight. These will stay good for a few weeks but it will not take you that long to eat them!
